Ten nights unlocks Cape Verde properly: enough time for two or three islands with sensible buffers, without turning the trip into a marathon.

Option A — Santiago + Fogo (history & volcano)

• Days 1–3: Santiago — Praia, Cidade Velha (UNESCO), markets
• Day 4: Short flight to Fogo
• Days 5–6: Climb Pico do Fogo, stay in the Chã das Caldeiras crater
• Day 7: Fogo wine country and São Filipe
• Days 8–10: Return via Santiago, or add a beach day

Option B — Sal + São Vicente + Santo Antão (everything)

• Days 1–3: Sal beach and watersports
• Day 4: Fly to São Vicente
• Days 5–6: Mindelo — music and culture
• Day 7: Ferry to Santo Antão
• Days 8–9: Hiking
• Day 10: Return and fly home (buffer built in)
